Most Valuable Lion Award
The staff employed by East Texas A&M University represent one of our University's richest resources. The Most Valuable Lion award has been established to recognize and reward university staff for their dedication and contributions to the success of the mission of the University on a quarterly basis. Based on the criteria below, recipients are selected from nominations submitted by their peers. Recipients will be honored and celebrated during a reception with their peers, and they will receive up to $250 worth of prizes for being an outstanding staff member.
Quarterly selection terms are as follows:
January-March
April-June
July-September
October-December
The Staff Recognition Committee will review nominations by staff, faculty, and students based on the university values of Integrity, Innovation, and Imagination. On the nomination form, be sure to address each bullet point listed below. The top candidate nomination will be presented to the Staff Council. Present members of the Staff Council are excluded from participation.
Nominee Eligibility
Staff Council Members are not eligible to nominate or be nominated for the Most Valuable Lion award. Immediate family members cannot nominate immediate family for the Most Valuable Lion award. The nominee must be a full-time, TAMUC staff member with at least six months of concurrent service to be eligible for the Most Valuable Lion award.
